Hello, my name is Janet Piper, and I'd like to share the story behind Lighting The Way 365.

 

Like many people, I've seen the pain that bullying can cause. Throughout the years I have witnessed countless brave and courageous kids come forward to share their stories and personal experiences, giving me a deep appreciation for how much our words and actions can affect another person. Their courage inspired me to send out a powerful, yet peaceful message.

 

The song "Keep It to Yourself," followed by the poem "A Better Place," were written to raise awareness about bullying and encourage people to stop, think, and choose kindness before saying or doing something that may hurt another person.

 

Much to my delight, that message later came to life through ten amazing young dancers, and the talents of a wonderful studio recording artist, choreographer, and videographer, who together created a heartwarming expression of kindness through movement, dance, and sign language.

 

Lighting The Way 365 began with hope and a simple reminder: even a little kindness can go a long way. I truly believe we each have our own little light and sparkle to help make the world a better place. Let yours shine brightly.
